Save the Date! The XVIth Annual Taste of Wethersfield benefit returns on Saturday, April 6th from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm in the Keeney Memorial Cultural Center, 200 Main Street, Wethersfield. Once again, the Keeney Center will come alive with the flavors and aromas of the area’s finest food and drink. Past participants have included Ascot, Café Louise, The Charles, Wood ‘n’ Tap, Carbone’s Prime, and many other local favorites. This year’s restaurants and food vendors will be listed below as we receive their confirmations. Ross Tucker and the Hot Cat Jazz Band have already been engaged to provide the evening’s musical entertainment. The process of “Taste” remains the same: Attendees pay one admission and can try offerings from several local restaurants, caterers, breweries, and wine vendors, all under one roof. Samples of signature dishes and beverages are available at every station. Throughout the evening, a silent auction is conducted, offering guests the opportunity to bid on unique goods and services from local vendors.
Photos below were shot at last year’s triumphal return of The Taste of Wethersfield after the hiatus imposed by the pandemic.
“Taste” has always been a party for those 21 and over only. Tickets are $35 if purchased in advance. At the door on the night of the event, the price jumps to $40. A $75 “Patron” ticket entitles the bearer to early admission (6:00 pm) with full access to all food and drink, as well as entry in the exclusive Patron drawing. ($30 of each “Patron” ticket purchased is tax deductible). Tickets will go on sale in mid-February, so check back here for a link to purchase tickets online or stop in to Wethersfield Historical Society’s office in the Old Academy at 150 Main Street, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm Tuesday through Friday for cash or check purchases to avoid online convenience fees.
If you are a restaurant, food vendor, brewer, or distiller interested in participating in this year’s “Taste”, contracts and the required health forms are available online at the links below.
