WHS Virtual Summer Program 2020: Women of Wethersfield

In conjunction with the 100th anniversary of women’s suffrage in America, WHS Curator Kristina Oschmann has been hard at work preparing a new exhibit for the Wethersfield Museum: “Women of Wethersfield”. In WHS Virtual Summer Program 2020: Women of Wethersfield, Kristina shares six short profiles of remarkable women who are but a small sampling of those featured in the exhibit. With over 300 years of history to draw on and the many extraordinary contributions women have made to Wethersfield and the wider world, there is no shortage of material for her to work with. Join her for this “sneak preview” of the larger exhibit scheduled for public display in mid October.

As with every entry in the series, Museum Educator Gillie Johnson has provided an appropriately themed scavenger hunt to accompany the video along with an extensive “Learn More” section, consisting of curated links to additional sources for further study on each subject.
