Ronna Reynolds, the first professional director of the Wethersfield Historical Society (1973 - 1977), received her B.A. in History from Connecticut College and her M.A. in Museum Studies from the Cooperstown Graduate Program (New York State University). In 1978, she was selected as a National Endowment for the Humanities Scholar and in 1979 published Images of Connecticut Life, a book which won the American Association for State and Local History's National Book Award in that year. Reynolds has authored many books and articles on Connecticut history as well as lectured widely on the topic.
For the past 32 years, she has served in a variety of professional positions at The Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts where she is currently the Executive Vice President. Remaining active in the preservation field, Reynolds was a long-standing member of The Governor's Heritage Task Force and a Trustee and President of Connecticut Landmarks.
